MONTGOMERY– The Alabama Community College System (ACCS), along with Northwest-Shoals Community College (NW-SCC), other member colleges and other GED® testing centers supported by ACCS, announces that now through October 31, 2015, students across the state may take the GED Ready® practice test for $1 as part of a special back-to-school discount being offered by GED® Testing Service.
According to GED® Testing Service, the GED Ready® practice test is the only test that will show students:
• If they’re ready to pass the GED® test;
• What skills they need to work on to pass the test; and
• A personalized study plan detailing pages and chapters to study in their favorite study books
To access the GED Ready® practice test, students should log in at GED.com; order the GED Ready® practice test they wish to take; then enter the promo code BACKTOSCHOOL at checkout to receive the discounted fee of $1.
“This represents a tremendous investment by GED® Testing Service and a wonderful opportunity for those students who have completed their preparation to take the GED®, but may still feel a bit apprehensive to take the actual test,” commented David Walters, State Director, Alabama Adult Education. “It is indeed a win-win for everyone. We encourage all of our GED students to take advantage of this opportunity by the October 31 deadline,” Walters added.
Students who take the GED Ready® practice test during the back-to-school special will also be eligible for the GED Ready® Practice Test Guarantee, which states that if a student scores “Likely to Pass” on the practice test and does not pass the official GED® test in that test subject, they may retake the test for free. To be eligible for the guarantee, students must have taken the GED Ready® test and scheduled their GED® test for that subject between September 21 – October 31, 2015, and must take the test within 60 days of earning the “Likely to Pass” score on the GED Ready test.
