Dr. Dick Owens, age 72 of Fayette, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Generation of Vernon Health and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Owens was a board member at Alabama Dept. of Public Health, board member at Alabama Board of Medical Examiners Montgomery, AL, Corporate Medical Director at Caretakers of Pleasant Grove and Corporate Medical Director at Walker Health Rehabilitation Center.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, 303 Oakhill Road, Jasper, AL 35504. Charles Nevels, Scott Tucker and Paul Wilson will officiate.
Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his Father-Thomas Louis Owens, Jr.; Mother-Betty Laird Owens; Brothers-George Owens and Clyde Owens; Son-Thomas Richard Owens; Daughter-Adena Owens.
He is survived by his Wife-Teresa Owens; Mother-in-law-Patricia Wilson; Father-in-law-Buddy Tucker; Daughters-Deandra Owens (Chet), Jonaka McLemore Sartin (Anthony) and Breena Aaron; Son-Jacob “Riley” McLemore; Sister-Valla Aldridge (Tim); Brother-Thomas Louis Owens, III (Amanda); Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law-Kellie Rice Owens, Tracy Frost (Jeff), Scott Tucker (Angie) and Jimmy Tucker; Grandchildren-Eli Remington McLemore, Briley Cash McLemore, Brinley Carter McLemore and Kollins Lee Sartin; Host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a family in need.
