Mrs. Diane Oden BlakeMrs. Diane Oden Blake of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama, of the Union Hill Community of Morgan County, Alabama, went to be with her Lord Monday evening – April 18, 2022 at the age of 70 years.
Mrs. Blake was born to Argle E. Oden and Gracie Maybelle Oden on February 11, 1952 in Marshall County, Alabama. She was married to Joseph Wayne “Jody” Blake, the love of her life, for 51 years. For 10 years prior to her retirement as a customer service representative for Alfa Insurance, Mrs. Blake operated the Union Hill Barber Shop. Mrs. Blake was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. Diane was a nature lover and avid photographer. She was devoted to her family, loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Diane was a kind-hearted soul, a pillar of the community and a friend to everyone.
Mrs. Blake leaves behind to celebrate and reminisce her life; Husband, Joseph “Jody” Blake; daughter, Casey Blake Jones (Steven); sons, Carter Blake and Kevin Blake; sisters, Helen Childers (Dude) and Evelyn Morrow; grandchildren, Cody Blake, Connor Blake, Kaylee Jones and Chase Blake; great-grandchildren; Cooper Blake and Lawson Blake, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents; Mrs. Blake is at last reunited with her brother, Curtis Oden.
A visitation will be held at Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City on Wednesday – April 20, 2022 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Funeral service will take place at the Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City on Thursday – April 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Jason Bomar officiating.
Interment is to follow services immediately at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Morgan City, Alabama.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Mike Page, Shane Raper, Cody Blake, David Elrod.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Jackie Puckett, and George Moss.
