Diane Lynn DavisDiane passed away at her residence on Wednesday, June 5, 2025. She was born in California on July 19, 1963 to the late Bill and Bernice Downs. She was an active member of The City of Refuge Church in Corinth; she found great joy in worship, fellowship, and community outreach. Her faith was evident in the way she lived—always with grace, kindness and a generous spirit.
Diane found happiness in gardening. She enjoyed spending time in nature with the peace and quietness of her garden. She was also an avid reader and treasured time spent with a book. Above all, Diane loved spending time with her family. Her greatest joy came from being surrounded by those she loved, sharing stories, and creating memories that will live on in the hearts of many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Davis; brothers, Michael Downs, John Downs and Robert Downs; and grandson, Levi Stone Thompson.
Diane is survived by her daughters, Maria Ballinger, Katie, Traynor and Kelly Widlacki; grandchildren, Riley Lynn Thompson, Adeleana Grace Thompson, Nevaeh Maria Davis, Lucas Gabriel Davis, Embree Luker, Lorelei Pauline Widlacki, and Christopher Widlacki; brothers, Bruce Downs, Frank Downs and Daniel Downs; and sisters, Irene Orbin and Rosemary Johnson.
Memorial Services for Diane will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 starting at 11am at City of Refuge Church.
