Mr. Dewey Wilbert, age 95 and a resident of the Linns Crossing community in Graysville, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 11am from New Horizon Chapel with Rev. Herbert Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens.
Dewey was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Wilbert, grandson Adam Wilbert, parents and siblings.
He is survived by a son Randy (Rita) Wilbert, daughter Karen (Dan) Harvey, grandsons Jason (Amanda) Parsons, Shane (Kelia) Parsons, Chris (Tiger) Wilbert, along with great grandchildren Jacob Parsons, Yasmine Parsons, Lucas Parsons, Pointer Wilbert and Dylan Wilbert and a host of nieces, nephews and special friend Cheryl Jones.
Dewey was a part time school bus driver while still attending Corner High School! He lived in Linns Crossing community for most of his life and was dedicated to his church. He retired from Dupont after many years of service. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
