Dewey Paul Guthrie, age 57, of Russellville, AL, passed away peacefully at his home, Friday, August 02, 2024.
He was born on February 11, 1967, in Russellville, AL. He is survived by the love of his life, Dana LouAllen; sons, Dewayne “DJ” Guthrie and Michael Paul Guthrie, all of his beloved fur babies, and Skyler Nelson, whom Dewey loved like a nephew; plus, a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Allen Guthrie & Rachel Hurst Guthrie Heathcoat, brothers, Tim Vaughn and Wayne Allen Guthrie, Jr.
Dewey was a master carpenter known by everyone in the construction business. He will be greatly missed.
The visitation will be 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 09, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
His love and dedication for animals was heartwarming. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite shelter or rescue. Dewey would have wanted that.
