Deverle Turner, 84 of Elkmont, Alabama, passed away on October 21st, 2023, at Limestone Nursing & Rehab. She was born on October 11th, 1939, to parents William Smith and Josie Burns.
Ms. Turner is survived by her 3 daughters Debbie Smith (Steve), Emily Pugh (Ray), and Melissa Williams (John); her son Ronnie Turner (Donna); 1 brother William Smith; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Deverle is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Turner; 2 grandchildren and 1 sister.
Graveside services for Ms. Turner will be October 24th, 2023, in Antioch Cemetery (Elkmont, Alabama) with Brother Jerry Smith officiating at 2:00pm with same day visitation from 11:30am to 1:30pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Her pallbearers will be James Turner, JR. Williams, Jared Smith, Kevin Blakenship, Ronnie Turner Jr, Kasey Williams, and Thomas Peña; with honorary pallbearers Jeremy Pugh, Eugune Govan, Jackson Hammell, Austin Bell, John Carl Lorick and Eric Hammell.
Deverle loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her cat Pancakes, watching Alabama football and watching nature & nature’s animals.
