Depp Teams With Branson To Bring Rick Hall’s Autobiography To Television

MUSCLE SHOALS-According to two news stories released today, Thursday, April 28, Johnny Depp’s production company Infinitum Nihil, with Richard Branson are working with IM Global TV to develop a music drama series based on the autobiography “The Man From Muscle Shoals:  My Journey from Shame to Fame.”

According to Deadline and Indiewire the television adaptation of Hall’s book hails from Depp and Christie Dembrowski’s Infinitum Nihil, Branson’s Virgin Produced, and Joshua D. Maurer and Alixandre Witlin’s City Entertainment.

Rick Hall, the father of Muscle Shoals Music and the music of Muscle Shoals have been fodder for the rumor mills regarding the production of some sort of TV drama about the era for months.  Today is the first real thread of substance to any of these rumors.
