Dennis Wade (Dink) West – Obituary

 Dennis Wade "Dink" West of Selmer, TNDennis Wade (Dink) West was born November 14, 1949 in Selmer, TN the son of the late James Melton and Bess Ida Lowrance West.

Dink’s first job was working on pipelines with his dad and brother Houston. Eventually the family began their own business, West Logging, and continued working together. For a period of time Dink lived in Las Vegas, NV where he was employed as a limo driver. After returning to McNairy County he worked as a driver for East-West Motor Freight, Inc. and drove a log truck for many different loggers in the area. Dink had a fun loving spirit and very big personality. He was loved by everyone who knew him.

Dink departed this life on October 25, 2018 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 68 Years, 11 Months, 11 Days. He is survived by a daughter, Christina Kantsios and husband Grant of Charlotte, NC; a son, Dayton West of Selmer, TN; two sisters, Beverly Smith and husband James of Selmer, TN and Janie Stephens and husband Bob of St. Louis, MO; a brother, Houston West and wife Pam of Selmer, TN; a grandchild, Zoey Ann Kantsios; and many extended family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held on November 3, 2018 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Bethel Springs, Tennessee.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of his niece, Ashley Pickens.
