Dennis Milam, age 87, passed away May 15, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital. He was the son of Ottis and Nellie Grace Milam and had 9 brothers and sisters. He married Betty Colvin in 1976 and would have been married 40 years before she passed away in 2016.
If you know anything about Dennis, you know that he was a salesman! He loved buying and selling anything he could get his hands on. You could find him at Trade Day or Flea Market most weekends. He loved seeing all his friends every week at the Senior Center or Snead State Community College Cafe. He grew a big garden every year and since Mrs. Betty’s passing he would give most of it away. He was constantly buying things that people had called him about to find for them or either buying it for loved ones and loading them down before they leave. He was an honest man and tried to do his best to give to others and help ones in need.
Dennis is survived by his daughter, Jana Dennise Pair; two brothers, Bobby Milam (Margaret) and David Milam; grandchildren Dusti Gilliland, Jennifer Gilliland, Britt Burns (Ellie), Brody Burns, and Jilli Pair; great-grandchildren Miranda Wester, Maddie Erskine, Milam McDowell Burns (Mac), Emmeline Burns, Adler Burns, and twins Hugh and Harlin Burns; and great-great-grandchildren Maverick Weaver, Sage Erskine, and August Erskine.
