Mr. Dennis M. Latham of Arab, Alabama; passed away on the early hours of Sunday – October 4, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 66 years.
Mr. Latham was born on December 26, 1953 to Hubert Latham and Grace Lee Bailey Latham in Marshall County, Alabama. Mr. Latham grew up in the small community of Ruth, Alabama and throughout his life he stayed in Marshall County raising his own family. Dennis was employed with the city of Arab and Space Age and was as well a self employer. He enjoyed things like; mechanical work and carpentry. In his earlier years he played Co-Ed softball and he most of all enjoyed spending time with his beloved family. Mr. Latham was a member of the Union Hill (FMC).
Mr. Latham will be forever remembered by his beloved wife, Karen W. Latham; daughters, Tracy Banes (Terry), Maria Venable (Wayne), Amy Howard (Greg) and Bridgett Latham; son, Dusty Latham (Leslie); siblings, Shelia NeSmith, Glenn Latham and Carolyn Neil; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Hubert Latham and Grace Lee Bailey Latham, Mr. Latham is at last reunited with his siblings, Nila Young and Nellie Crumbley.
A Visitation will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Wednesday evening, October 7, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will take place at the Union Hill (FMC) on Thursday morning, October 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Andy Brown and Bro. Johnathan Minyard, officiating.
Interment will follow services immediately at the Union Hill (FMC) adjoining cemetery.
Pallbearers escorting Mr. Latham to his final resting place will be; Johnathon Howard, Brandon Howard, Nicholas Howard, Austin Moore, Justin Latham and Nathan Motte.
Honorary Pallbearers will include; Adam Watwood.
