Dennis LaDon Pertree, age 76 of Fort Payne, passed away December 26, 2023 at Dekalb Regional Medical Center. Mr. Pertree was born on July 12, 1947 to the late Quinten and Gartrell Tucker Pertree. A veteran of the United States Army, he worked several years in management at Kingsberry Homes and later retired from Shaw Industries.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, January 28, 2023, at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Jeff Slaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhaven Memorial Park in Pisgah. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Pertree is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carolyn Bradford Pertree; step-children, Steven Smith (Christina) and Stacey Stephens; grandchildren, Hannah Smith, Jade Stephens, Alexia Ashley, Logan Ashley, along with 6 others; nephews: Mack Ashley (Ann) and Alan Ashley (Rhonda); and niece, Missy Baker (Tony). He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Joann and Gene Ashley
