Dennis Glenn Webb, 58, a loving and cherished husband, father, brother, son and friend, died October 7, 2022, with his family by his side. Dennis fought a courageous four-year battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
Born on September 9, 1964, Dennis led a life filled with family, friends, fun and professional responsibilities. He grew up in the Jones Valley area and attended Grissom High School, graduating in 1982. He made his way to Auburn University, where he graduated in 1988 with a BS degree in Management. While at Auburn, he joined Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, where he made many lifelong Sig Ep friends and brothers.
Dennis had a long and successful career in Sales for several companies and for the last 10 years as National Account Manager with Stanley Access Technologies. During his time with the company, Dennis was consistently a top performer while being recognized through numerous Top Gun and President Club Awards.
Dennis accepted his diagnosis of ALS with a full heart and a positive attitude. He immediately started planning his bucket list, traveling to visit friends and family, attending Auburn football and basketball games, and enjoying concerts. He bought a camper and embarked on a 100-day journey across the beautiful United States, meeting family and friends all along the way. He hiked mountains, went fly fishing, took naps, went boating, skied, drove ATV’s, and grew a beard. He enjoyed seeing and adventuring across this beautiful country.
The family expresses sincere and heartfelt appreciation to everyone who cared for Dennis during his illness. We are so grateful for the many kind and thoughtful acts of love, gifts, meals, visits and support from so many people – your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. The family would also like to thank Hospice of North Alabama, especially Aleya Henry for her friendship with and care of Dennis.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Christie (Barnard); son Nick; daughter Samantha; parents, Glenn and Patty Webb; sister, Lynn Webb Robertson (Clay); brother, Michael (Melissa), brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Debbie Dodd; nieces and nephews, Drew and Will Robertson, Lauren Kate and Johnny Dodd, and Mary Taylor Tucker.
