Dennis Gilliam, age 60, of Vernon, AL, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at St. Vincent’s East in Birmingham, AL. The family has chosen cremation and memorial services will be held at a later date.
Dennis was born on April 5, 1963 in Fayette, AL to Cecil Lee Gilliam and Peggy Annette Pennington Gilliam. He was a 1980 graduate of Lamar County High School. Dennis was a welder at Marathon and previously worked as a truck driver for Vernon Milling traveling coast to coast. He was excellent at flooring and was a very skilled stone mason and carpenter. Dennis enjoyed fishing, golf, and hunting and was an avid Auburn fan. He loved his family dearly and his precious memory will always be cherished and greatly missed.
