Dennis Con Laten, 68, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on January 27, 2025. He was born on December 8, 1956, in LaGrange, Georgia.
Dennis was a hardworking roofer who had a deep love for music and the outdoors. As a young man, he paid rent with earnings from milking cows, showcasing his strong work ethic early on. He loved fishing and spending time outside, and he enjoyed a meal at Whataburger.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Broyles Laten; his children, Donald Shannon (Robin), Dennis Lee Laten, Sabrina Laten, and Stacey Laten; and his grandchildren, Whitney Pierce, Brilee Shannon, and Trevor Shannon. He also leaves behind his siblings, Tony Laten, Benny Laten, Connie Laten, Darlene Laten, and Phillip Laten.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Mitzi Laten, his brothers Randy Laten and Chris Laten, and his sister Becky Laten.
The family will receive friends at Hazel Green Funeral Home on January 31, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with funeral services following at 6:00 PM.
