Mr. Dennis Brandon King, age 49, of Fayette, AL, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
Brandon was born September 29, 1974, in Birmingham, AL, to Phyllis Fisher King and the late Jerry Brannon King. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a jack of all trades. He was a member of Bankston Baptist Church. Brandon was very mischievous as a child and he loved to aggravate his sisters. He begged his parents for a brother, and after the second sister he gave up and turned Misty into a tomboy and they loved to gang up on Melena. Brandon looked forward to weekends with his nephew Eric when he was little. They loved to ride three wheelers, go hunting, target practice, sit around the fire, and lay on top of the bus looking at the stars talking about life. He was a very outspoken, blunt, and honest man. Anybody who knew him, knew where they stood with him and knew where he stood on God, guns, and politics. He was a devoted husband, dad, and uncle. His nieces and nephews thought the world of him. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Dean King, and his grandparents, Oscar Floyd and Reba Mae King and W.C. and Vesta Fisher.
The family has chosen cremation and will have a private memorial service at a later date.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa King; his mother, Phyllis King; two sisters, Melena Welch and Misty King; five step-children, Josh Hicks, Tony Hutto, Tiffany Hutto, Monica Hutto, and Kathleen Moorecroft; 14 grandchildren; three nieces, Katie King, Emma Welch, and Cassie Stockman; and three nephews, Eric Stockman, Ryan Welch, and Dean Welch.
