Denise Wilemon, 67, of Booneville passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at the Landmark Nursing and Rehab Center. She was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Freewill Baptist Church. She was an educator for the Prentiss County School District with all 27 years of teaching at Marietta Elementary School. She loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren.
A Celebration of life will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M until 11:00 A.M on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband Clayton Wilemon; two sons, Michael Smith (Shawna) and Brad Wilemon (Angie); her sisters, Phyllis Barnes (Terry) and Melissa Turner; her grandchildren, Ava Kate Smith, Rhett Smith, Clarke Smith, Greir Smith, Bauer Smith, Audr Rose Smith, Abbot Smith, and Emily Grace Wilemon;her nieces and nephews, Jessica Coats, Kenney Turner III, Alanah Barnes, and Alexandria Barnes; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Casper Clyde and Julia Nichols and J.A. Smith; her grandparents, Claude and Lily Michael and Clara and Jodie Smith; her sisters, Julia Dianne Weeks, and Donna Coats; her nephew, Kevin Turner and niece Emily Turner.
Pallbearer will be Bryson Dees, Brad Wilemon, Sheron Barron, Chris Hassan, Andy Spradling, Harmon Davis, Jerry Maxcy, Chip Johnson, Micah Moment and Bryant Tynes. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Rhett Smith, Clarke Smith, Greir Smith and Bauer Smith.
