Denise Lewter of Rogersville AL passed away on April 15th, 2024, at NAMC. The family will hold a celebration of life for her on Saturday April 27th, 2024, at Rogersville Funeral Home. Visitation at 2:00 p.m. with a celebration of life honoring her at 3:00 p.m. with Brother Pat Driskell officiating. Denise had let her wishes be known for a celebration of life for her family & friends to come together and honor the loving, kind, free-spirted women she was.
Denise was born in Boaz, Alabama to Charles and Catherine (Rowan) Lewter on September 4th, 1962. She attended Brooks High School located in Killen, AL when the family moved to the area. She was a friend to many as well as Aunt Denise or Mama Wezzie to more than we could list they know it in their hearts for sure. She was very enthusiastic about eco-nature research for making our mother earth a clean, healthy, and safe place to live. One of her greatest joys and loves was the Boston terrier bread. She was an active breeder for many years and always known to have one in her life. We find comfort in that she has been reunited with her past fur babies Daisy, Cillia, and Sadie.
This is no doubt her greatest blessing was being a mother to her children Dusty Howard & Bradie Lewter Eady who she loved more than anything in this world. Of course, in the past few years her greatest light and joy in her life was her only granddaughter Lucy Bell Eady. Being a Nene was a blessing, she spoke on many occasions to those who knew her. The love those two shared will burn from this life to the next.
Denise Lewter is preceded in death by her father Charles Edward Lewter. Grandparents Samuel & Daisy Rowan and Red & Martha Lewter. Many other family members and many friends who left this world too soon.
Denise is survived by her mother Catherine Lewter, her children Dusty Howard, Bradie(Dusty) Eady, granddaughter Lucy Bell Eady, brother Jeff(Pam) Rowan, niece/nephew Brooke & Blake Rowan, fur baby Dolly Lewter, Great Uncles Samuel(Martha) Rowan, Ray(Susan) Rowan, Eddie(Carol) Rowan, as well as many cousins and close friends two important ones being Teresa Canerday and Dianie Hiller who were both a part of her life for the better part of 35 years. She was a kind neighbor, loving aunt, supporting friend, and compassionate human soul. Denise’s faith was universally pure, and it helped her through many trials & triumphs.
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love come from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:
