Visitation and a Celebration of Life service for Denise Douglas Waters, 50, was Monday, July 1, 2013, at Fox Funeral Home in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Denise, who passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013, in Wyoming after a short battle with brain cancer, was born August 12, 1962. She spent most of her high school years residing in Decatur and is a 1980 graduate of Austin High School.
Survivors include her mother, Carol Wilson of Cullman; her father, James Douglas of Texas; her daughter Niki Nance (Curt) of Wyoming; two brothers, Troy Douglas (Julie) of Danville and Reed Wilson of Virginia; two sisters, Stephanie Barnette (John) of Decatur and Cassie Barrett (Kim) of Idaho; a granddaughter, Harlie Nance of Wyoming; a grandson, Levi Hokanson Jr. of Cullman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Levi Hokanson; stepmother, Janice Hendon Douglas and stepfather, Richard Wilson.
