Denise A. Gilmer, age 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Regional Medical Center, in Anniston, AL. Denise was born December 27, 1956, to James and Sarah Angel in Anniston, AL.
Denise is survived by her husband Kenny; daughter Marty, grandson Logan (Hannah); great grandson Loxyn, and sisters Kathy, Lisa, Deb, and Machelle.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Sarah; her son Landon and her sister Brenda.
Denise was very passionate and successful in the equestrian business. She was the owner of the Bar D quarter horses from 1982-2005. In 1993 a colt named “Winning With Colors” was born and went on to win the PHBA World Championship in 1997. Denise was an AQHA breeder from 1988-1999. She was very respected and an idol to many.
Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Denise are invited to Cremation Services of East Alabama at 733 White Plains Rd. Anniston AL, 36207 from 1PM -3PM on Sunday, February 23 2025 to reminisce and celebrate Denise’s life.
