Anna Elizabeth Nash Shikoh, age 79 of Madison, AL, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, after a long, valiant battle against cancer and while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Benton, KY on July 8, 1945, to the late Benjamin Franklin and Mildred Marlow Nash. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Edna Nash Scharber, Mary Ben (Bennye) Nash Steakley, and Betty Nash Scott. Anna is survived by her son, Lee Kamran Shikoh (Lynn Ann), granddaughters Morgan Lee Shikoh and Amanda Nicole Shikoh, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Anna graduated from Franklin County High School in Winchester, TN in 1963. Despite all obstacles, Anna earned her degree in chemical engineering from Tennessee Tech in 1968 and joined a profession where less than 1% of engineers were women at the time. A true renaissance woman, Anna’s command presence left no doubt to those around her. Anna was witty and a voracious knowledge seeker with a sharp analytical mind, remaining undefeated in Chinese Checkers and Trivial Pursuit throughout her lifetime. An organization Anna believed was performing God’s work, in lieu of flowers, a donation to Next Step Farms, a non-profit organization providing day programs to teach important life skills to individuals with special needs would be appreciated. A receiving of friends will be held on Saturday, July 13, from 10:00-11:00 A.M. with a memorial service immediately following at 11:00 A.M. at Berryhill Funeral Home.
