Delores Faye Boyle age 71, passed away October 3, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born October 1, 1953, in Scottsburg, IN the daughter of the late James William and Lulabelle Ritchey Roll. She grew up on a farm in Scottsburg and was a 1971 graduate of Scottsburg High School.
She joined the U.S. Army in 1977 and served four years, working as a Cryptologist Collection Specialist O5K. It was during her stint in the Army that she met Scott Boyle while doing technical training in Pensacola, FL. They married on December 7, 1979. They were married forty-five years.
After the Army she worked for Crop Production Services as a Financial Service Manager for ten years in Scottsburg. They moved to Key West, FL in 2006 and she worked for Trumann Little White House until 2018, retiring due to due to illness.
They moved to Finger, TN in 2020.
She was an avid reader, and college football fan, (”Roll Tide”) with a great sense of humor.
She was a devoted Christian and member of Henderson Assembly of God. She loved her family and gave herself to their care.
Mrs. Boyle is survived by her husband, Scott Edward Boyle of Finger; two sons, Paul Montana Boyle and James Dakota Boyle both of Finger; a daughter, Candace Leigh Boyle of Winter Haven, FL; one grandchild, Carter Wyatt Morris ; four brothers, Jack Lee Roll (Ann), Bill Roll (Dawn), Edward Roll (Teresa), and Tim Roll (Bonnie) all of Scottsburg, IN and two sisters, Margaret Ann Julian (Mike) of Marion, IN and Judy Highfill (Dennis), and brother-in-law, Guy Evan Boyle of Irondale, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jerry Roll and Jimmy Roll.
Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 8th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Ben Herzog officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM service time on Tuesday.
