DeLois Morris Kent – Obituary

Mrs. DeLois Morris Kent, age 81 of Henderson, Tennessee died September 14, 2012.

Mrs. Kent was born in Chester County, the Oak Grove Community, the daughter of the late Vaude Clint and Vera Elizabeth Browder Morris. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1951. She worked at Ben Franklin Variety Store, Salant and Salant and Shultz Manufacturing as a young lady and started at the City Drug Store in the early 1960’s. She worked there as a clerk, bookkeeper, and cashier for nearly forty nine years. She had made her home in Henderson and married John U. Kent of Enville in 1986 and they made their home at Enville. Mr. Kent died in 1990. She moved back to Henderson in 2008 and retired from the City Drug Store in 2009. Mrs. Kent was a member of the Enville church of Christ.

She is survived by a brother, Eugene (Peanut) Morris of Henderson, TN.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Kent was preceded in death by two brothers, James Ray Morris, V.C. Morris, Jr. and a sister Mary Jo Johnson.
