Delmar L. Montgomery, age 76, of Russellville, Alabama passed away Aug. 4, 2017 at his residence in Russellville.
Mr. Montgomery was born Aug. 15, 1940 in New Mexico to parents, James Montgomery (father), Lily Landfair Hill (mom), and Luke Hill (dad).
Survivors include his children, Wayne Montgomery (Tonya), JoAnn Hallman, Kathy Cherry, Karen Gilliam (Danny), and Nathan Montgomery (Sue); 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bart Montgomery, of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Bonnie Sue Whitehead, of Altus, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Edwin Montgomery, Deloras Taylor, Hershey Montgomery, Quinton Montgomery, Billy Hill, and Travis Montgomery; and son-in- laws, Gary Hallman and James Cherry.
Memorial services will be today, Aug. 7, 2017 at Gray Rock Congregational Meethodist Church, Highway 40 in the Oak Grove Community from 2-4 p.m. with Brother Curtis Taylor officiating and Akins Funeral Home directing.
Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Gilliam, Rodney Watkins, Andy Hallman, Joey Bean, Braylin Hallman, and Jase Hallman.
