Delila Persall Williams, a godly woman, died unexpectedly on September 12, 2018 at the age of 67.

Delila is survived by her mother Barbara Persall; husband, Larry Williams; children, Matthew (Amanda) and Lela; siblings, Roger Persall, Anita Persall Smith, Mark Persall, and Nick Persall; grandchildren Fuller, Evie, and Elliott. She was preceded in death by her father Roland Persall and her nephew Ron Persall.

Delila was born on September 12, 1951 in Live Oak, Florida, to Roland and Barbara Tilley Persall. She graduated from West Point High School in 1969 and from Wallace State Community College with an Associate Degree RN in 1999. She worked as a Surgical Nurse at CRMC for over 30 years.

She married Larry Williams, her high school sweetheart, in 1970. Delila’s family remembers her as a joyful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ who encouraged everyone to follow Christ and love all men. Delila’s greatest joy was her family and her heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren.

Delila was an accomplished cook and, over the years, baked thousands of cakes for all of her people. She was an active and dedicated member of Christ’s Church and was often found visiting those in need of comfort or encouragement.

A Celebration of her life is scheduled for Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Cullman Civic Center at 3:00pm. All are welcome to attend as we celebrate Delila’s life. The family would like to thank the first responders and everyone who worked tirelessly to save her life.
