Dedra Jo Box, 52, of Tuscumbia, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013. Visitation was 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Colbert Memorial Chapel. The service will be 2 p.m. today at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Brother John McMath will be officiating. Mrs. Box was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend who will be missed by all that had the chance to meet her. Dedra was so proud to be a grandmother to Carter and was so excited to have a new Box baby on the way.
She was preceded in death by her aunt, Rita Keenum.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Box; son, Dustin K. Box (Christina); daughter, Brittney M. Box Weeks (Jonathan); honorary daughter, Tonya Starr Belew (Jeff); parents, Melvin Box (Marie), John Smith and Alice Taylor; grandchild, Carter Weeks; brothers, John F. Smith Jr. (Gloria), Greg Smith (Helen), Manuel Smith (Sue) and Tim Smith; sister, Gina Roberson; honorary sister, Sue Smith; nephews, Hunter Belew, Taylor Smith and Trey Smith; and nieces, Hanna Beth Belew, Jane Carol McClain, Heather Smith, Ashley Brown, Kendra Roberson and Anna Box.
