COLBERT COUNTY-With a new holiday concert along with numerous festivals, celebrations, parades and other events, December is chock-full of activities in Colbert County.

A Christmas Concert at Wishbone Studios in Muscle Shoals, 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, will feature Clayton Ivey, Billy Lawson, Travis Wammack, Mike Curtis, Coby Greer, C Tyler Jones, Kassidy McCorkle and special guests. The concert, presented by Wishbone Studios and Colbert County Tourism, will be broadcast live online via stageIt.com for fans of Muscle Shoals music around the world. Admission is $20. Tickets are available at Colbert County Tourism and Convention Bureau, 719 U.S. Highway 72, Tuscumbia, or by calling 256-383-0783.

Susann Hamlin, president and CEO of Colbert Tourism, said the concert is a great addition to the December lineup of activities in the county.

“It is going to be an amazing concert. It includes some of the biggest names in Muscle Shoals music along with some highly talented up-and-coming new stars,” Hamlin said. “Seating is limited. The concert will sell out fast, so don’t wait to purchase tickets.”

She said Wishbone Studios, 1920 Webster St., Muscle Shoals – across from the Northwest Alabama Regional Airport – is a perfect venue for a Christmas showcase concert. Some of the greatest hits ever recorded in the Shoals were made there. Admission to the concert includes a tour of the historic studio.

With events taking place every day through Christmas, Hamlin said December is a busy time for Colbert residents and visitors. “We have been getting calls for the past few weeks from people throughout Alabama and surrounding states who say they are coming to Dicken’s Christmas, Plantation Christmas and other holiday events. It’s a great time to explore Colbert County and see our many attractions.”
