DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department released a statement concerning the arrests of six suspects who have been charged with various crimes relating to drugs:
“During the month of May, Investigators with the Decatur Police Department’s Vice/Narcotics Unit received complaints of illegal narcotics sales in the 3500 block of W Chapel Hill Rd. An investigation began and the primary suspect was identified as Tyler Maurice Moore.
During the course of the investigation, Investigators gained probable cause to obtain a search warrant for Moore’s residence.
On May 16, 2023, Investigators executed a search warrant at Moore’s residence. Investigators made contact with several subjects on scene identified as Tyler Moore, Emily McCullough, Maurice Moore, Jacob Robertson, and Andrea Sutton. A search of the residence was conducted and approximately one pound of fentanyl laced methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located.
Tyler Moore was placed under arrest for trafficking in illegal drugs and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Moore was transported to the Morgan County Jail where he was booked in and held in lieu of a $500,300 bond per a Circuit Court Judge.
Emily McCullough was placed under arrest for trafficking in illegal drugs and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. McCullough was transported to the Morgan County Jail where she was booked in and held in lieu of a $500,300 bond per a Circuit Court Judge.
Maurice Moore was placed under arrest for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Maurice was transported to the Morgan County Jail where he was booked in and held in lieu of a $1,300 bond.
Jacob Robertson was placed under arrest for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and loitering in a drug house. Robertson was transported to the Morgan County Jail where he was booked in and held in a lieu of a $600 bond.
Jason Grant was placed under arrest for loitering in a drug house. Grant was transported to the Morgan County Jail where he was booked in and held in a lieu of a $300 bond.
Andrea Sutton was placed under arrest for loitering in a drug house. Sutton was transported to the Morgan County Jail where she was booked in and held in a lieu of a $300 bond.
“The defendants are accused of the above crimes and should be considered innocent until proven guilty.”
