Decatur Police Arrest One Suspect In Thursday Morning Shooting

DECATUR-The Decatur Police have been looking for the shoter in a shooting that took place last Thursday, January 14.  Police arrested a suspect in the case on Monday, January 18.  Decatur Police issued a statement regrading the arrest of one suspect in the case:

“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:

On January 14th, 2016 at 8:26 AM, Morgan County Central Dispatch received the call of a shooting at Parkway Place Apartments located at 2115 Central Parkway SW.

Officers from the Decatur Police Department responded to the scene along with Decatur Fire and EMS. The victim identified as Brandon Deon Bolden suffered from a single gunshot wound to the thigh.

Bolden was transported to Huntsville Hospital by Medflight where he was treated for his injuries. Detectives from the Decatur Police Departments Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and began an investigation.

During the course of the investigation Aundra Marcell Garth was developed as a suspect. On January 15th, 2016 Det. Matt Young obtained an arrest warrant on Garth for Assault in the 1st Degree. On January 18th, 2015 Garth was arrested on the warrant and booked into the Decatur City Jail. Garth was transferred to the Morgan County Jail on a $50,000.00 bond. Bolden’s injuries were none life threatening.”
