DECATUR-Decatur Morgan County Tourism in partnership with The Alabama Bass Trail (ABT), is thrilled to announce the upcoming ABT 100 Series tournament, set to take place this Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 at Ingalls Harbor on Wheeler Lake. This highly anticipated one-day team tournament will welcome 100 teams of both amateur and professional anglers, competing for a share of the $100,000 total payout.
As part of the Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association’s mission to promote Alabama as a premier fishing destination, the ABT 100 has gained immense popularity since its inception in 2021. Anglers will have the opportunity to showcase their skills on Wheeler Lake, a venue known for its record-breaking weights during previous ABT Championship events.
This weekend, the ABT 100 Anglers are on the hunt for Largemouth Bass and Spotted Bass with a minimum length of 12 inches, and Meanmouth Bass and Smallmouth Bass measuring a minimum of 15 inches. This tournament marks the final Alabama 100 Series event for the calendar year, and it promises to be an exciting conclusion as they crown the title of Angler of the Year. Anglers will be vying for top honors and points as the season wraps up.
Join us this Saturday as we celebrate the sport of fishing, friendly competition, and the beautiful resources Alabama has to offer. Spectators are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and attend the weigh-in beginning at 3:00 PM at Ingalls Harbor, where they can witness the excitement firsthand, all free of charge!
