DECATUR-A routine traffic stop around 8:40 PM on August 13 for reckless driving at Point Mallard Drive SE in Decatur revealed three underage victims suffering gun shot wounds. All of the children were taken to Huntsville Hospital due to the severity of their wounds. The children have not been identified due to their ages.
Investigators with the Decatur Police Department said Esdras Enrique Garcia-Torres, 18, of Decatur has been taken into custody at his home on Wednesday, August 17. Garcia-Torres has been charged with three counts of assault 1st Degree and Firing a Gun Into An Occupied Vehicle.
Esdras Enrique Garcia-Torres has been taken to the Morgan County Jail where his bond has been set at $730,000.
