Debra Suzanne "Penny" Morrow Kilgore Debra Suzanne “Penny” Morrow Kilgore, 60, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at her home in Columbia, Tennessee. She was born in Maury County to Edward S. and Mary Eleanor Dooley Morrow.

Penny was raised in the Bigbyville Community and as a child was a member of the Bigbyville United Methodist Church. She graduated from Columbia Central High School and attended Columbia State Community College. After graduation from the Tennessee Police Academy, Penny worked for the Brentwood Police Department for many years. Most recently she was employed by Absolute Storage Management.

In addition to her mother, Penny is survived by brothers, Ted (Vickie) Morrow and David Morrow; nephews, Jon (Martha) Morrow and Hunter Morrow; several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends, Stephanie and Kip Lindsey.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Tony Brown officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.

Penny’s life-long love of animals led to her taking in many abused or rescued puppies and kittens. The family suggests memorials to the Maury County Animal Shelter, 1233 Mapleash Avenue, Columbia, TN 38401 or the charity of your choice.
