McMinnville resident and Warren County native Debra Ann Hale, age 66, was born February 24, 1957, and died April 27, 2023 at Ascension St. Thomas Hospital following a brief illness. Debra was the daughter of the late Nathan and Modene Elrod Hale. She was preceded in death by her younger brother Jeffrey Leon Hale in 2021. She was also preceded in death by her beloved poodles Tina and Mickie. Debra was a past employee of Genesco and loved to make all kinds of crafts, especially Christmas ornaments and decorations. It brought her great joy to present her handmade items to family and friends.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, but due to her health had not been able to attend services in the past few years. She still loved to hear gospel singing. Debra is survived by her brothers Jimmy (Karen) Hale and David (Brenda) Hale all of McMinnville, TN, sister-in-law Lesa Hale, nephews Nathan (Misty) Hale of Pulaski, TN, Chad (Della) Hale of Conway, AR, and Chris (Becky) Hale of Jacksonville, FL, nieces Jennifer Vaughn and Bethany Hale, both of McMinnville, several great nephews and great nieces also survive as well as cousins, friends, and special friends from McMinnville Boarding Home and Willow Branch Rehab.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 30, 2023 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Rannie Phillips will officiate. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M.
