Debra Ann Barnes Pharr, 64, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, surrounded by her daughters. She was born on February 15, 1960 to R.C. “Bud” Barnes, Jr. and Susie Spraggins South. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Nana, as her grandchildren called her, had a lifelong passion for gardening, finding joy in nurturing plants and watching them grow. Her garden was her sanctuary. It was filled with vibrant flowers, blossoming trees, and an abundance of life that reflected her own spirit. She took great pride in sharing the fruits of her labor, whether it was a bouquet of freshly cut flowers or homegrown vegetables she gifted to family and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 10, 5 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Haskell Sparks officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 3-5 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her daughters; Adrain Lynch (Chris) and Stephanie Dill both of Belmont and Alice Schnapka (Michael) of Berlin, Germany; grandchildren Gavin Lynch, Garrett Lynch, Carson Massey, Mariam Lynch, Avery Massey, and Finn Schnapka; her mother, Susie South of Tishomingo; sisters Sherry McLemore of Tishomingo, Donna Lindsey of Belden and Rhonda Lamb (Greg) of Eggville; brother Mitchell Barnes of Tishomingo; sisters-in-law, Hilda Moore, Sharon Reeves (Phillip) and Barbara Hall (Jerry) and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Wayne Pharr, father Bud Barnes and an infant brother Michael.
Pallbearers are Kohlyee Estes, Kylei Estes, Michael Mauldin, Shane Stephens, Chad Stephens, Cole Stephens, Cade Stephens and Blake Lamb.
The family would like to thank those who have called, messaged and prayed for them. They would also like to thank her special friend, Becki Roberts, for all she has done.
