Debbie’s passions were reading and going to the beach, but her life and what meant the most to her were her kids and family. After graduating Franklin County High School in 1969, she attended Motlow State Community College, Middle Tennessee State University, and ultimately earning her Master of Education from Tennessee State University. She taught school for some time in Nashville, but a majority of her 34 years as an educator and an administrator was spent in the Franklin County School system, where she served as a classroom teacher, wrote grants for the County, which ultimately brought computers into the schools, and lastly as Assistant Principal for Clark Memorial, Rock Creek, Decherd, and Cowan Elementary Schools.

Deb’s was a life well lived and she was very loved and respected in this County. In lieu of flowers, Debbie requested that you make a donation to American Liver Foundation online (www.liverfoundation.org) for the research and promotion of education, advocacy, and support services for the prevention, treatment, and cure of liver disease.
