Deborah Lynn Keith Hester, 55, departed this life unexpectedly on September 4, 2022. Known by all as “Deb”, she was born in Amory, MS on September 19, 1966 to the late Willie “Bill” Keith and Virginia Mask Keith. Deb lived her entire 55 years on the land her parents brought her home to. She loved all things in and around Nettleton and was a model community citizen.
Deb’s favorite and most cherished title was Mama and Mimi. Her life revolved around her two girls and grandchildren and she always jumped at the chance to make memories with them. Deb loved to travel and frequently visited Fort Walton Beach, FL to see her daughter, son in-law, and grandsons. Deb was the life of the party and was always cracking jokes and picking on those she loved most. A very loving and caring soul, she made an impact on those around her and opened her home with welcome arms. Loved by all, she was a splendid cook-privately baking for many and always cooking for her family, church family, families in need, fire departments, bake sales benefiting others, and friends. Cooking was her passion and you could taste the love in everything she made. Her operation was known as Sweetie Pies, a true testament of the woman Deb was.
A devoutly Godly woman, she was a longtime member of Limestone Baptist Church where she was faithful and active in all church activities. She cherished being surrounded by the people she loved in the church she grew up in, where she entered her Heavenly home on Sunday evening. She will be missed by many whose lives she touched and changed. Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Hester, to whom she married on August 10, 1984 in Nettleton; daughters, Raven Chaney (Cory) of Nettleton, Haven Hankins (Cody) of Fort Walton Beach, FL; sisters, Ruby Jean Washington (Gerald), Carolyn Kimble, Marilyn Gray (Dale); brother, Kenneth Keith; grandchildren, Bella Kate Chaney, Jagger Chaney, Hazey Mae Chaney, Hunter Hankins, and Fin Hankins; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; her brother in-law, Jimmy Kimble; and her sister in-law, Sara Ann Keith. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. until service time today, Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Limestone Baptist Church in Nettleton. Services honoring her life will be at 4 p.m. today, Tuesday, September 6, 2022, with her nephew, Randy Gray, officiating. A private family burial will be held afterwards at Jones Chapel in Nettleton. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Tim Kimble, David McBunch, Jamie Franks, Brad Payne, Brady Gray and Timothy Shaune Kimble. Holland Funeral Directors is Honored to be serving their friends.
