Deborah Kay French DayDeborah Kay French Day, 63, former owner and operator of Deb’s Designs, died Monday, March 22, 2021 at her residence in Columbia.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. at St. John’s Churchyard with Father Chris Bowhay. The family will visit with friends Friday from 12:30 P.M. – 1:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to the Nashville Rescue Mission, 639 Lafayette Street, Nashville, TN 37203. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born December 30, 1957 in Reidsville, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Evelyn Lawson French and the late Lawrence French. Mrs. Day enjoyed crafts and horseback riding.

In addition to her mother, Evelyn French, survivors include her husband, whom she married May 12, 1981, Louis A. “Buddy” Day, Jr. of Columbia; daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Day (Allen) Roberts of White House; brother, Jamie (Karin) French of Clayton, North Carolina; and mother-in-law, Helen Anne Turman Day of Columbia.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
