  Deborah J. Loosier Thomas, 58, of Town Creek passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Helen Keller Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Mt. Hope Baptist Church with Josh McGuire officiating.

Born August 16, 1963 to Stanley Loosier and Margie James Bullard Loosier, Deborah was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, aunt, great aunt and great great aunt, mentor and an excellent Mimi. She always put others first. Deborah loved to cook, travel, play tennis, ride motorcycles and go to the beach. She was a die hard Notre Dame fan. Deborah was station manager over many distribution centers for the US Postal Service. She was a Christian and shared her faith in Christ with others. Deborah attended Decatur High School and was a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her son; Pierce Loosier, one granddaughter, Ivy Raine Loosier, her parents; Stanley and Margie Loosier, her fiance; Danny Butts, a brother; Vernon Loosier (Tina), two sisters; Leigh Ann Pannell (Joey) and Shena Campbell (Brian).

She was preceded in death by her husband; Bob Thomas, her brother; Stanley “Peanut” Loosier, her grandparents; Bose Loosier, Myrtle and Buck Rodgers, George S. and Mary Lee Bullard.

The family extends special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff at Helen Keller Hospital, Hatton Fire and EMS and all of Deborah’s friends and loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
