Deborah Blair Ward – Obituary

Deborah Blair Ward, 67 of Addison, entered into rest on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at home.

Deborah was born on July 20, 1950 in Hartselle, Alabama. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for 25 years.  Deborah graduated from Falkville High School in 1968.  After completing her education at St. Bernard College in 1972, she went on to her career as a school teacher.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 5:30-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home, Addison. Services will be held Sunday at 2pm at Friendship Baptist Church, Upshaw.  She will lie in state from 1-2pm. Brother Arthur Talley and Reverend Ira Laney will officiate. Burial will be at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Deborah is survived by her husband of 48 years, Haskel Ray Ward; son, Frank S. Ward and wife Jeannette; daughters, Rebekah L. Graham and husband Shawn, Barbara W. Wright and husband Charles; sisters, Denise Blair, Zane Anne (John) Roberts; and 3 grandchildren, Raeleigh Graham, Shelton Wright, Chase Wright.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Faye Tanner Blair; father, James M. Blair; brother, Jonathan Blair; and grandson, Rodney Wright.
