Funeral services for Mrs. Deborah Baker, age 62 of Ashland, will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith Christian Fellowship with Rev. Larry Mitchell and Evangelist David Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Baker passed away on Sunday March 8, 2020 at her home. A lifelong resident of Clay County, she worked at Southland as a seamstress for over 10 years and in the drawer department at Truwood Cabinets. Mrs. Baker loved spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. She loved all people and never had a bad word to speak about someone. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, collecting cans and helping others. She was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Danny Baker of Ashland; three daughters: Patricia Heath
(Lee) of Ashland, Annie Hubbard (Clayton) of Horton, and Samantha Baker of Lincoln; two sons: Joseph Baker and Samuel Baker, both of Ashland; her mother, Jo Ann Holder (Jimmy) of Opelika; her brother, Kenneth Culligan (Tammy) of Auburn; her sister, Elaine Triplett (Terry) of Lineville; seven grandchildren: Brent Easterwood, Brittany Upchurch, Corey Daugherty, Sydney Dewberry, Dalton Wright, Aly Lee and Mariah Head; six great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her father, Patrick Wylie Culligan and her grandson, Tyler Wright.
Active pallbearers will be David Rush, Samuel Baker, Brent Easterwood, Lee Heath, Corey Daughtery and Clayton Hubbard.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., and up until 1:30 P.M. on service day.
