On Sunday, February 19, 2023, Deborah Ann Barry Montgomery of Muscle Shoals, AL, loving wife and mother of three children and seven grandchildren, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her love ones, at the age of 65. Debbie was born on June 29, 1957 in Greenwood, MS. A memorial service will be announced by family at a later time.
Debbie had recently retired from working with Dr. Ziegler in the dental field for many years which allowed her to do some of her favorite things. Spending time with her grandchildren was her most favorite thing to do. When not with her grandchildren you could always find Debbie on the beach or by the pool with a good book. She loved being with family and cooking huge Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. She also enjoyed flying with her husband, Phil and more recently hooking up their camper and hitting the road.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Sullivan Barry, stepson, Seth Montgomery, and in-laws, Janel and Ralph Montgomery.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip Montgomery; four children, Ashley Glover, Barry Ainsworth. Allison Williams (Chase), and Josh Montgomery; mother, Anne Pittman Barry; sisters, Marguerite Barry Richter (Ricky), and Shannon Barry Ola (Anthony); brothers, Tim Montgomery (Vicky) and Tony Montgomery (Jo); grandchildren, McKenzie Ainsworth, Thomas Wade Ainsworth, Brandon Montgomery, Gage Williams, Mary Presley Williams, Sulli Grace Williams; a special aunt she adored, Marilyn Pittman Bell; her sweet fur baby, Ellie; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to her best friend of forty years, Debbie Williams for being here for Debbie and her family as she made her transition to her eternal home.
