Debbie Wilson, age 68, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at her residence surrounded by loved ones.
She was born on May 28, 1956 to William and Imogene Benefield. Debbie was a “strong-willed’ and stubborn lady, but she also loved deeply and worked hard. Debbie loved to travel before she became sick.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery in Haleyville. Brother Gary Wakefield will officiate.
Debbie is survived by her son, Michael (Tammy) Westbrook; daughter, Heather Kimbrough; sister, Pamela (David) Cruse; brothers, Jeff Benefield and Randall Keith Benefield; grandchildren, Courtney (Zack) Manasco, Kaitlyn Westbrook, Macie (Hunter) Garrett, Natalie (Kobe) Ward, and Kenslie Kimbrough; great grandchildren, Henry Manasco, Neeson Garrett, Nova Garrett, and Sawyer Ward; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Imogene Benefield; son, Billy Westbrook; and sisters-in-law, Ellen Benefield and Terri Benefield.
