Ms. Debbie Vanzandt BrooksIt is with heavy hearts that we announce Ms. Debbie Marie Brooks of Arab, Alabama; transitioned and entered the Gates of Heaven in the early hours of Tuesday – July 6, 2021 at the age of 59 years.

Ms. Brooks was born on the 11th of July in 1961 to Alton Tate Vanzandt and Vida Marie Howton Weaver Vanzandt. She resided the majority of her life in Blountsville, Alabama where she worked as an LPN with Baptist Health Center; for the previous four years, she was employed with the Arab City School’s System working at the Arab Primary School as a school nurse. She was married to Douglas Brooks for 32 years.

Ms. Brooks leaves behind to celebrate and reminisce her life; mother, Marie Howton; sons, Adam Brooks and Bradley Brooks (Casey); daughter, Tina Teague (Tony); grandchildren, Autumn Brooks, Cole Brooks, Kaelyn Humphries, Ahlyn Brooks, Baylor Brooks, Charleigh Teague, Brynlee Brooks and Brooks Teague; brother, Danny Vanzandt (Debra); sister, Diane Hoosier (Tony); as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Ms. Brooks is at last reunited with her beloved father; Alton Tate Vanzandt and nephew; Brandon Brooks.

A visitation will be held on Saturday – July 10, 2021 at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel between the hours of 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday – July 10, 2021 at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Frankie Powell, officiating.

Interment will follow services immediately at the Arab Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers escorting Ms. Brooks to her final resting place will include: Cole Brooks, Baylor Brooks, John Martin, Dylan Martin, John Vanzandt, Luke Davis and Larry Northern.
