Dean T. Linneman passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept 17, 2023 in Franklin TN. He was 84. A native of Quincy, Illinois, Dean retired from Gardner Denver in 2002 after 38 years of service. He also served in the Quincy Army Reserves for 8 years. Dean was born at St. Mary’s hospital in Quincy Illinois on May 8, 1939. He was the son of Emmett (Corky) and Mildred (Milly) Linneman. He served as Class President of the graduating class of 1957 from Quincy High School. He attended MacMurry College in Jacksonville, Illinois where he received his associate degree.

 

Dean married the love of his life Judy (McWilliams) in 1966 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shelbina MO. After retirement, Dean and Judy relocated to Franklin TN. Dean was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church where he was active in the men’s club. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather whose family meant the world to him. He was also a friend to many and was blessed with many lifelong friendships. He was also an avid golfer and loved to read.

 

Dean is survived by his wife, daughter Kara (Brian) Wimberly of Franklin, TN and two grandsons, Austin Wimberly of Dunedin, FL and Matthew Wimberly of Franklin, TN.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Emmett and Milly.

 

Funeral Mass will be in Shelbina MO at St Mary’s Catholic Church, October 6, 2023 at 10:30am. Burial will be at the Catholic Cemetery in Shelbina. There will also be a Memorial Mass at St. Philip Catholic Church Chapel in Franklin, TN on October 18, 2023 at 10am.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Lakeside Golf Course, Shelbina MO. or NHC Place Cool Springs, Franklin, TN.
