David Wayne Wallace, 66, Sheffield, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, July 30, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia.
David was a native of Chicago and a longtime resident of the Shoals. He worked as a restaurant owner, and as a supervisor at Jimmy Dean / Sara Lee. David loved to play golf and was an avid Alabama football and basketball fan. In 2001, David received a new heart from a twenty-two year old donor. Because of the unselfish generosity of this young man’s family, David was able to live and enjoy his life, and his family, for twenty-two more years. David was very grateful to have that time, and his family is incredibly thankful to that family for their gift. David was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Pat Wallace.
He is survived by his children, Samuel Wallace (Kenzi) and Ann Leslie Mansell (Andrew); brother, Steven Wallace (Renee); sisters, Regina Michael (Craig) and Teresa Knight (David); grandson, Charlie Wallace; and a host of family and friends.
