David Wayne ToddDavid Wayne Todd, 61 of Huntsville, passed away on May 11, 2024.

He was born September 30,1962 in El Paso, TX to Darwin Charles Todd and Renate Brand Todd. Darwin was in the US Army stationed Fort x, TX. Renate was a homemaker and later a childcare specialist.  David had an older sister and brother and one younger (Bonnie, Charles, and Danny).  He was proud to be an Army “brat” and lived in many places including Germany and ending in Huntsville, AL.  He began his merchandizing career with Murphy’s Mart here in Huntsville, graduated from Butler High School at the age of 17, and took a management position in Mississippi.  Ames Department Stores bought Murphy’s Mart and he moved up and down the East coast where he met his first wife Robin and had their daughter Samantha.  Walmart offered him the opportunity to return to Huntsville where he worked for almost two decades.  He finished his career in merchandizing with Burks Outlet.  He loved the freedom offered by that company to set the store to his liking.  David met his second wife Jennifer in Huntsville at Trinity Methodist Church.  Together with their three children (Kimberlee, Charles, and Samantha) they enjoyed 29 years as a loving family.

David is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Charles Todd.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Todd, and his children: Kimberlee Ater, Charles Ater, and Samantha Todd-Childers.  As well as his beloved grandchildren:  Kailee Todd, Charles James Ater, Elizabeth Ater, Evelyn Ater, and Leonardo Ater; sister,Bonnie Todd, his brother Danny Todd, and several cousins and nephews.

David loved his family, his work and his Lord. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
