David W. Lancaster, 64, of Birmingham, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 30, 2015. He was born in Florence, Alabama, to Melvin and Louise Lancaster. Upon graduating from Coffee High School he attended the University of North Alabama where he finished with a degree in accounting. He specialized in accounting for healthcare institutions by serving as auditor for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Alabama, Humana Corp. as regional financial officer, and chief financial officer of Fort Walton Beach Hospital.
David is survived by his wife , Deborah Gano Lancaster, and their 2 children, Danielle and DJ (David Wayne Lancaster Jr); sister, Norma (John) McGee; niece, Deborah (Chris) McGee Carson; nephew, Joel McGee (Emily); father-in-law, H. D. Gano; sister-in-law, Kathy (Joe) Chastain; nephews, Joseph Chastain III, Justin Chastain; brother-in-law, David Gano, sister-in-law, Diane Gano; nephews, Jay Gano and Josh Gano.
