Graveside Services for Mr. David Tumlin, age 77 of Lineville, were held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Ashland City Cemetery with Rev. Scott Epperson and Bro. Billy White officiating.

Mr. Tumlin passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at his home. Born in the Mellow Valley Community, Mr. Tumlin spent the beginning of his life in the Opelika and Valley Area, before settling and living in Lineville for the past 45 years. He worked as a pulpwooder for the majority of his life. Mr. Tumlin would spend most of his days fishing, usually starting before daylight and coming back after dark. He also loved playing dominos, and loved being with and spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. He was a member of Fairview Christian Church.

Mr. Tumlin is survived by his wife of 55 years, Juanita Tumlin of Lineville; one daughter, Ann Smith (Mark) of Lineville; two sons: Larry Tumlin of Lineville and Daniel Tumlin (Pam) of Delta; 6 grandchildren: Timothy “Timmy” Lowry (Nikki), Joseph Tumlin, Shania Tumlin, Alex Smith, Destiny Tumlin, and Timothy Tumlin; three great-grandchildren: Shawn Tumlin, Declan Lowry, and Lily Lowry; one sister, Ruth Tidwell of Wadley; and a large extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Sydney Warren Tumlin and May Medley Tumlin; four sisters: Pearl Tidwell, Leanoa Mitchell, Mary Mizell, and Mennie Meigs; and two brothers, Bud Tumlin and Sydney Tumlin.

Active Pallbearers will be Timothy “Timmy” Lowry, Anthony White, Cody Suggs, Alex Smith, Nic Epperson, Nate Epperson, and Scotty Lowry.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Joseph Tumlin.

Flowers are accepted, however the family would prefer donations be made to Fairview Christian Church, in care of Rev. Scott Epperson, 40 Teel Drive, Ashland AL, 36251.
