David “Rip” Jones age 76 of Anderson, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Jones was born May 6, 1938 in Limestone County, AL to Floyd Jones and Evie Bassham Jones.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, August 20, 2014 12:30 p.m., at New Salem Cemetery with Bro. Bill Barlow officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 10:45 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.
Mr. Jones was a United States Army Veteran. He was a retired mechanic, a graduate of West Limestone High School and was a member of the Masons.
Preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Evie Jones; son, David A. Jones; brother, Edward Jones.
Survived by his wife, Joann Jones of Anderson; one sister, Faye Romine; several nieces, nephews and great- nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tony Collins, Tim Collins, Tracy Collins, Mike Jones, Michael Jones and Joseph Rhineheimer.
