David “Ricky” Richard Campbell, age 76, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at his residence. Ricky was born in Huntsville, Alabama to Mauveline McCafferty Campbell and John R. Campbell.
Ricky is survived by his former wife, Ann Campbell; his son John Len Campbell (Kim); his daughter Lori Campbell Scott (Jason); his brothers Billy Campbell (Judi) and Johnny Campbell (Doris); his grandchildren Kaitelen Campbell, Aaron Campbell, Tyler Scott, Turner Scott, Cody Scott, his great grandchildren Kassie Campbell and John Campbell.
Ricky was preceded in death by his father John R. Campbell and his mother Mauveline McCafferty Campbell.
A Celebration of Ricky’s life will be Saturday, December 30 at 2:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home, Interment will follow with Huntsville Fire Department Honors at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, December 30, from 12:00 until 2:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Don Cox will be officiating.
Ricky was a member of the Church of Christ and was retired from Huntsville Fire Department as Captain after 30 years of service. Ricky was a beloved father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother and Friend.
